BRC reunion at Baltimore's Funk Box!

This was an early evening in late May, 2004. For the first time, Green Door Promotions decided to attend open mic at the Funk Box in Baltimore Maryland. The expectation this evening was solely to find a new band to promote. After the first few performances that night, the next band to take the stage was a five piece band named, "Black River Circus". The name was interesting as well as the musicianship. We remember hearing smooth guitar work, and technical tempo changes with memorable, unpretentious lyrics. As we looked around, it was obvious the energy level in the room was elevated. As the band exited the stage they received an undeniable positive response from the crowd. Talk about being in the right place at the right time? We knew we were in the right place. We approached the band immediately after their forty minute Funk Box debut. We had a brief introduction and a rushed conversation side stage with the vocalist Tim. We asked him for a demo CD. Surprisingly we were actually presented a two track Compact disc. Track one was titled "Them Days" and track two was titled "AA". Green Door Promotions had acquired it's very first demo CD, and had just met our first band to promote. We were in business.
We have been in contact with some of the original members since that  memorable open mic night in Federal Hill.

The united states has got a real problem. There is a cancer growing inside her belly that needs removed. It's the drug companies. The large corporate ones you see on tv avertising some stupid, scientifically synthesized product to make you fall a sleep. Don't mind the side affects just deal with it. Doctors get kickbacks from dealing with these corporate drugs. 80 percent of these drug company commercials I see on television, most of the problems people have can be solved by ingestion of medical marijuana.  The drug companies are synthesizing pills for peanuts. meaning the companies are making these pills that cost very little and selling them for a very high profit. The united states federal government will not stop it because the corporate drug companies have more money then donald trump. Not only do they pay their taxes on time (billions) and lobby congress constantly. Most of them have offices in washington, DC on capitol hill. For example: 701 pennsylvania avenue Washington dc Looks like a government office to me? No, that's Astra Zeneca. You know the ones that can help you pay for your addictive drugs. I called astrazeneca in ask them if they can help me buy some food for my family and they said no. But if I need them to help me pay for my medical prescription poison they will help me. If you or a loved 1 cannot afford food Astra Zeneca will not help.

So how do we fix this? We need to quit working for drug companies and taking their bribes. We need to quit taking the poison that are doctors are prescribing to us. And use common sense and dennounced these's drug companies as the real criminals
